Welcome to my homepage.
My name is Tina and I am a western rider and I breed Quarter Horses, primarily reining horses.
I live with my husband Niels on our farm in Hoejmark outside Ringkoebing.
I have ridden since I was 5 years old. First dressage and jumping from riding school to later my own horses.
In 1988 I saw the light and started being interested in western riding. I started out by working for a trainer in Texas in 1990. In 1991 I started riding on one of Helle Kristensens (Valley View) horses. It was a great opportunity. In 1994 I bought my first quarter horse. A bay mare named Miss Solanos Zip.
Short, longhaired and built downhill she came home from southern Germany and developed to become the horse of my life. I started riding her myself and in 4 shows she made it to all round champion 3 times. She also delivered 3 wonderful foals before dying much too young in 2001.
After that I took more interest in breeding and today I base my breeding on two mares. Zips daughter Expensive Chic Olena and Stormys Queen who both are reining bred and approximately the same height but quite different in type.
I have ridden both mares for a while as I prefer to try out my broodmares under saddle before accepting them for my breeding program. Today I ride Chics son Play On Top who represents 2nd generation of my own breeding.
I try to use the best possible stallions for the mares and now the first offspring are finally starting to make a mark in the showarenas. It will be a lot of fun following my babies and their new owners/riders in the years to come and a challenge to keep finding the right homes for the new foals.
